It is said that music can be incredibly cathartic both for the listener and for the creator. This is exactly the case when it comes to Will Wesley’s latest single, “12 O’Clock In Texas” a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to the memory of his late brother. A perfect marriage of both words and music which cut deeply with those raw feelings one can only experience from the tragedy of losing a loved one. Through pitch perfect wordplay, Will masterfully leads us by the hand and not only paints a very vivid image of who his brother was and how things will never be the same again without him, but at the same time our Louisiana native brings forth an incredibly soulful and powerful feeling of catharsis which permeates the entire song from start to finish. The hardest part for those left behind is attempting to carry on and keep the memory alive of those we continue to love beyond the mortal veil and with this song Will is able to run the gamut of all the contrasting emotions that those in this position go through and yes though some wounds may never heal, it is songs like these which will allow those treasured memories of the dearly departed to never fade.
