There are literally hundreds of rodeo terms that have crept into everyday speech – old gems like ‘go hard or go home’ … ‘take the bull by the horns’ … and ‘life’s about the ride’. Charlie Fittler is adding another true blue one to the list – “Buckin’ Luck” – and it’s the title of his new single from his EP, “Dying Breed”, both out Friday 12th May. “Buckin’ Luck” was born from a song writing session with Aussie country music legend, Bill Chambers. “We both thought a rodeo song would be a great addition to the EP and its direction”, explains Charlie. “The track has an emotional and a humorous outlook of a rodeo rider” The EP, “Dying Breed”, is set to please Charlie’s early supporters and new fans alike. It’s authentically Charlie and unashamedly country. There’s no way it could be anything else. Charlie has lived and breathed real country life for close to 20 years living on his family’s fifth-generation Merino sheep property just outside of Armidale, NSW. At the suggestion of his manager Chris O’Hearn (who has worked with Slim Dusty, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Steve Earle, Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings and manager of Ian Moss and Don Walker), Charlie teamed up with Bill Chambers – knowing immediately he would be a perfect fit for the project. |
